Almost every year, there are five stars who wind up being a bust and walk-ons who end up being the team MVP.

Perkins Jr. surpassed expectations in the case of Harold Perkins.

Brian Kelly's first recruiting class at LSU included five-star recruit Perkins out of high school.

It was expected that he would show up on day one and start working.

Perkins was committed to the Aggies before he switched to the Tigers, according to Jimbo Fisher.
